I have been sew busy!! I have been making lots of pairs of knickers, these are samples for the new kits that will be added to the website in the next few days
The fabric and knicker elastic is already available to buy and so is the sewing pattern
I have also recently finished making the Colette Laurel dress for my daughter
It is a lovely simple dress to make, it introduced me to some new techniques that I will use again and again such as bias binding for the sleeves and neckline and underlining, so simple and such a professional looking finish! The instruction booklet is excellent and the downloadable extra’s are great too!
I used a contrasting flower print bias binding which looks so lovely!
We went to a wedding last week so my beautiful daughter wore her Laurel and I wore my Elisalex
I have also been doing a lot of sewing with jersey fabric, I have made shorts, skirts, yoga pants and also this empire style dress
This fabric is gorgeous it’s so soft and drapes beautifully
The Zebra print jersey fabric is soft and drapey too this skirt was really easy to make, I will try do a tutorial in another blog post.
The shorts are ‘short shorts’ so my lovely long legged daughter is now the proud owner of those!
I have so many other projects on the go! I will announce the winner of the fabric giveaway at the end of the month so there is still time to leave me a comment if you would like to win
Ooh….more gorgeous knickers!!! I haven’t made anymore since the ones youve posted on your website but i definitely plan to and ive recommended them on my blog. Your daughter’s dress is so so pretty, fabric and design….bet she’s thrilled with it! Kate x

I love making knickers, I have got it down to a fine art and can knock up a pair in about 30 minutes which is great for presents for friends and uses up smallish scraps of fabric. My daughter wants me to make another Laurel for her to wear to her summer ball.

Great Laurel and I like the jersey dress too! All your sewing makes me feel so lazy, I have four days off work now though and the plan is to sew, sew, sew!
