Winters Lane

We  have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Seville, such a beautiful city, we had a very relaxing time in the gorgeous sunshine seeing all the wonderful gardens and architecture. On our return we found a parcel of fantastic new fabric, its Winters Lane from Moda fabric’s and it is lovely. I am brimming with idea’s for Christmas makes, there is an inspiring panel for a cushion, bunting and gift tags, but I am also thinking aprons, placemats and table runners, even a cute A-Line Christmas skirt!

Yesterday my sister came to see me and when she saw the panel she decided to make a cushion and bunting straight away, she trimmed the cushion with some pom pom and used the lovely feather fabric for the back, it’s a good size cushion 50 x 50.

winters lane 001For the bunting she used red bias binding folded in half over the top of the pieces

winters lane 018You could also use these piece’s to make fabric covered christmas cards

winters lane 011It’s probably a bit early to be raving about Christmas makes but this fabric range is just lovely. We have a free instruction leaflet for the cushion and bunting panel for the first 20 customers.

winters lane 014Doesn’t my garden look lovely as a back drop, thats because it is glorious summer at the moment, perfect for Christmas photography!

winters lane 010I think this fabric range is going to feature heavily in my Christmas makes series this year, watch this space for my 12 makes of Christmas, tutorial’s and gift idea’s starting in October.
