I wanted to start Me made May with a bang, and I had a very important Birthday party to go to so I decided to make my Mortmain dress to wear. The Mortmain was designed by a small British pattern company called Gather, its quick and fairly easy to make, they recommend it for ambitious beginners!

It was a bit wet and miserable so I wore it with my boots! The fabric I used is from one of our new Moda ranges, Simply Style by V & Co.

Gather are a very new company, they only have 2 patterns, the other one is for a really cute collar called The Tallis, I think I might have to make one of those too so that I can keep my pledge to wear something handmade every day during MeMadeMay.
