We have had some new fabric ranges delivered that are really lovely! The first one is called Hope Chest by Penny Rose Fabrics, this is how they describe them on their website:
The bright and colorful designs of the 1930’s era are one of the most popular genres of quilting fabrics. The color, diversity of design, and size allows for many uses including quilting, home decor and garments.
During the Great Depression of the 1930’s there was a great revival of Quilting. The hard times brought a strong desire for women to socialize. Quilting became a popular way for women to fulfill their desire to be creative while still making something practical for her family. To keep expenses to a minimum, women would find quilting materials from many different sources such as sewing scraps, out-grown clothing and feed sacks.
Enjoy these happy bright colors and designs that bring a little remembrance of an era that looked forward to better times.
Another luscious new range that we now have in stock is the new Regents Lawns by Moda Fabrics. Gorgeously light weight, these would make lovely knickers and camisole tops, I am going to be adding them to our current knicker kits after Christmas and I am working on a Camisole pattern to also launch as a kit in January.
We also have the jelly rolls and charm packs in this range.
