Week 3 Me Made May (and some answers!)

Almost half way through #memademay2016 and I am beginning to repeat some of my outfits, this is because I always love my most recent makes the best! I have an extensive me made wardrobe but I have to admit that I prefer to wear my most recent makes, although I have got a few favourites that get pulled out every now and again and I never throw anything away.

Day 16

I am in Venice! Wearing my Grainline Moss skirt with a Colette Seamworks magazine Aurora vest.

Day 17

I’m at the Taj Mahal! I made this top in the morning, it’s a Sewaholic Renfrew in Liberty jersey, one of my favourite tops to make, using an overlocker I can usually whip one of these up in about 1 hour! Teamed up with a Colette Beignet skirt.

Day 18

Brooklyn bridge today with someone admiring my Gather patterns Mortmain dress.

Day 19

In an Ice cave in Iceland today! Wearing a Colette Jasmine blouse with my Closet case Ginger jeans.

Day 20

At the French Quarter in New Orleans and look it’s that Renfrew top again and my Ginger jeans, I love this combination!

Day 21

This is a bit closer to home! We had a craft event at Cardiff City football stadium so I sneaked onto the terraces and had a pic taken wearing my Gather Mortmain dress again and because it was a bit chilly a piece of fabric as a scarf!

Day 22

This space ship is actually a building! It is the Contemporary Art Museum, Niterói in Rio de Janeiro, I have actually been here and it is amazing, it sticks out over a cliff top and the views are fab, as is the whole place! I am wearing a drape top from one of the Sewing Bee books, I have made loads of these tops for myself and as presents, they are easy to make and look lovely on, and yes that is my Moss skirt again!

I wonder what exciting places I will visit over the next few days and whether I can prise myself out of my Ginger jeans and Moss skirt?

Me made may 2016 week 2

My whirl wind, world wide, me made wardrobe adventure continues, if you didn’t manage to guess where I was here is where you will find all the answers.

Day 9

With Billy the Bison in Yellowstone National Park! Wearing a Thread Theory Camas Blouse and my Closet Case Ginger Jeans.

Day 10

Not Dartmoor, Easter Island! Wearing one of my many By Hand London Anna Dresses.

Day 11

I thought this was a tricky one but @deravelled got it right, Ta Prohm in Cambodia. Wearing a Colette Seamworks Astoria jersey top and my Grainline Studio Moss skirt.

Day 12

This was an easy one, it’s The Great Wall of China of course, wearing a Colette Moneta dress!

Day 13

My outfit matches my location beautifully, did you guess where I was? This is Petra in Jordan and I am wearing an Anna dress made from Hemmingway fabric.

Day 14

Here I am with my flamingo friends at the Atacama salt flats in Bolivia! Wearing my Grainline Moss skirt again ( this is becoming a firm favourite in my wardrobe I might have to make another) with my Sewaholic Belcarra blouse, made with Regents Lawn.

Day 15

This is one of my favourite cities and I have actually visited on a couple of occasions, it is Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. I am wearing my Moss skirt again, this time with another Sewaholic Renfrew T-shirt in plain red jersey

Me made may 2016 week 1

I can’t believe it’s already May and #memademay16 is already upon Us! I was a bit late starting but I did have a lot of travelling to do between shots (I wish!) However I am all up to date now. If you have been following my Instagram or Facebook posts and joining in with the guess where I am theme, this is where you will get all the answers.

Day 1 and I was in Paris of course, wearing my favourite Closet case patterns Ginger jeans and Sewaholic Patterns Oakridge blouse.

Day 2 and I was in Machu Pichu with a new friend! Wearing my Ginger jeans again, this time with a Sewaholic patterns Belcarra blouse.

Day 3 and I turned up in Timbuktu! Still wearing my beloved Ginger Jeans! And with another Sewaholic patterns Oakridge blouse, this one in Liberty Truly Scrumptious Tana Lawn.

Day 4 and I was getting a bit wet at Niagara Falls. Wearing a Colette patterns Wren dress.

Day 6 and I turned up at The Colosseum in Rome wearing a Sewaholic patterns Davies dress.

This place took me by surprise, I thought I was in Gotham City until my photographer informed me that it was in fact Shanghai! Day 7 and I am wearing a Colette Aster shirt that I lengthened into a shirt dress.

Day 8 and there is a clue in the picture, I am of course at Base Camp on Mount Everest. This top was made using Liberty jersey fabric and the pattern came free with a magazine.

Today is day 9 and I am on the steps of Sidney Opera House! My outfit today is another Sewaholic patterns Belcarra blouse, with a brand new make which is a denim Grainline Patterns Moss skirt.
