Wren!

The new Colette sewing pattern is here! Wren is gorgeous! Its easy to make and extremely flattering.

I made myself version two from some of our lovely striped jersey that has a lovely silky feel to it and hangs beautifully.

I think the Wren pattern is fun to wear and also quick and easy to make, I can see myself making more of these, particularly as we have just bought in a few Liberty Jersey fabrics!

This week I made a Colette Moneta dress for my Lovely Mum, so it’s her turn to be the glamour model!

I used some of our gorgeous jersey fabric which is soft and silky to the touch and drapes beautifully.

Colette Patterns are currently doing a Moneta dress sewalong so you can learn how to make this lovely easy to wear and easy to make dress.

Cake Dress & new Jersey fabrics

We have got some fab new jersey fabrics on the website so I decided to have a go at the Cake Red Velvet dress,

it was fairly straight forward, I tried to use my serger but I am really struggling with it, I think the tensions are all wrong but I just get confused when I try and balance it and it just seems to get worse! So I used a small zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine instead.

The fabric is lovely, navy blue with red birds on it, it is T-shirt weight so it drapes nicely.

We have also got some fab jersey stripes, and coming soon are some gorgeous plain colours, excellent for T-shirts, dresses and skirts. I particularly like this one;
