Oakridge blouse.

When we had the Regent Street lawn fabric delivery I knew that I wanted to make a nice blouse with it, how excited was I when Sewaholic released their new blouse patterns! I could not wait to make the Oakridge blouse, unfortunately due to my wrist injury from the summer I can’t sew for long so each project takes me more time to make, however I don’t think this is a bad thing as I don’t make so many mistakes and the end product is better finished.

I like the slightly fitted style of this blouse, I decided not to put the bow on the blouse as I thought it would be too fussy but I want to make another one with a bow now! It is a very straight forward pattern to follow, I have made shirts before and found the instructions confusing however this pattern is really easy to follow.

I thought it was going to be a bit too long but as you can see it is the perfect length, I may slightly shorten the sleeve on my next one but that is only because I have short arms!

I used some of our vintage style Celtic buttons to finish it off.

I even had enough fabric left over to make some matching knickers! This fabric is fabulous for knickers, it’s a lovely delicate lawn so they are really soft and comfortable!
