Like quite a lot of others in the sewing world, we’d been awaiting the release of Grainline Studio’s Morris Blazer on printed paper for quite a while, so when we went looking again on Grainline’s website a few weeks ago it was all systems go!
Whilst we were there, another new paper pattern took our fancy, the Moss Skirt. We’ve only had a brief look, but we think that this could overtake the Amy Butler Barcelona Skirt as our favourite A-line[ish] skirt pattern.
Today I wore the Cake Red Velvet Dress that I made a couple of months ago using some of our new cotton jersey fabrics, this Red birds on blue fabric has proved REALLY popular so if you want some grab it now as when it is gone, it is gone!
It would be lovely if I had spent today on a beautiful beach but, alas no, it is photo-shopped, mr LLM is having a great time with all the photos of me that he is taking, he say’s I look like Thelma from Scooby-Doo!
You may remember that I said that I was going to join in with the Charlotte Skirt sewalong in conjunction with By Hand London, any way it started on 14th Jan and I was so busy I missed the first 2 sewalongs, well I have caught up with the first one and cut out my fabric
The fabric I am using is a lovely winter weight soft wool blend in a herringbone pattern, it is lovely and soft and has glittery bits woven into it ( £11 a metre at Trixie Lixie)
I need to catch up on stage 2 so I will keep you posted!
